‘Kanyadaan’ fame Ritobrota Dey bags a new show

Bengali viewers are set for some high-dose of entertainment ahead. With new shows including ‘Ichhe Putul’, ‘Dance Bangla Dance’, ‘Phaguner Mohona’ and others, television viewers are in for some special treat. Adding one more to the list a new show, featuring Indranil Chatterjee essaying the male lead will also entertain the viewers soon. Industry sources suggest, that the makers were in search of a young artist who would be paired opposite Indranil in the new show. And actress Ritobrota Dey has bagged the project outshining all other candidates. The look set was also done and the team will soon shoot for the promo as well.Ritobrota isn’t a new face on Bengali television. She was a part of television show ‘Kanyadaan’, starring, Arindam Ganguly, Manasi Sinha, Priya Malakar, Deepsheta Mitra in prominent roles. Ritobrota played Arindam’s reel daughter in the daily soap which was originally inspired by hit Tamil soap opera ‘Metti Oli’.The story revolved around a doting dad and his five daughters. After a successful run of more than two years, ‘Kanyadaan’ is coming to an end. The cast and crew recently wrapped up the shoot too. While the climax episode will air in February, Ritobrota has already bagged a new show. The young artist is all excited about the new venture.Meanwhile, this is the first time, Ritobrota is pairing up with Indranil for the first time. Prior to this, Indranil was featured in TV shows ‘Aay Tobe Sohochori’ and ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’, two popular Bengali daily soaps.
