Kamalika Banerjee, who is known for her powerful acting skills, is all set to entertain the audience with the upcoming show ‘
Umar Sangsar
’. She will be seen playing the titular role in this soon-to-be-launched family drama.
The film and television actress has featured in many serials including ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’, ‘
Chokher Tara Tui
’ and ‘
Checkmate
’.
In the show ‘Umar Sangsar’, which will be launched on March 11,
Kamalika
will be seen playing a housewife, who is very responsible in nature. She is the eldest daughter-in-law of a joint family. And Kanaka is Uma’s sister-in-law. Following a horrifying incident, Kanaka loses her mental stability. Uma continues to take care of Kanaka.
The story takes a new turn when Uma goes against her family and tries to find out the culprit who is responsible for Kanaka's situation.
Other than Kamalika, the show includes actors Ashmita Mukherjee, Sabarni Saha, Abhijit Debroy, Sarbani, Mou Bhattacharya and Sumanta Mukherjee among others.
The serial will be directed by Anindo Sarkar. The story and screenplay are done by Mon Chakraborty while dialogues are penned by Upashana Chowdhury.
