Joy Kumar Mukherjee joins the cast of ‘Mome Palok’

in prominent roles.

Makers are keen on introducing a new tweak in the story, following which a new character will be introduced. Joy will be seen as Dhruv whose entry is likely to stir things up in Palok’s life. Model-turned-actress Ahiri is playing Palok’s role in the show. Dhruv is chosen by Palok’s family as her prospective groom although she likes someone else.

There is no doubt that Dhruv’s entry is going to spice up the current track of ‘Momepalok’. Interestingly, the show is a remake of Kannada TV show ‘

Kavyanjali

’, although the makers have introduced some changes keeping the taste of Bengali audience in mind.

Speaking about Joy, the actor was missing from the small screen for quite some time. He was in the news for allegedly harassing his co-star Aindrila Sharma on the sets of ‘Jiyon Kathi’. Joy, however, denied all the allegations. But after the incident Joy was replaced by

in the show. Industry sources suggest Joy was reportedly blacklisted for quite some time. Later, he was roped in for Bikram’s role in the yet to be launched fantasy-drama ‘Bikram Betal’. Actress Adrija Roy will be seen in a meaty role in the show.
