Bengali television viewers are in for a treat packed with some high-voltage entertainment. A series of new shows have been launched on different television channels. While a few of these have already started scoring well, there are a few new TV projects in the pipeline to take the entertainment quotient a notch higher. One of the upcoming shows is ‘Alor Thikana’. The new show has a promising cast in the lead roles. Actors John Bhattacharya and Debadrita Basu will team up for the new television show.
Since the past few weeks, rumours were rife that the ‘Joyee’ actress will soon be seen in a new serial. While a few names of popular actors were doing rounds as the probable male lead opposite Debadrita, it is John who has bagged the role. Interestingly, rumours regarding John’s new project were also making quite a noise.
The upcoming show will be produced by a leading production channel that has given many shows including ‘Netaji’, ‘Mahapeeth Tarapeeth’, ‘ Laalkuthi’, ‘Dhonni Meye’ and others. The makers were keen to cast two young actors as the lead for ‘Alor Thikana’ and zeroed upon Debadrita and John, who are quite popular among the audience. While John is currently busy with Adrit Roy and Soumitrisha Kundoo starrer ‘Mithai’, Debadrita is giving Bengali TV a miss after ‘Shree Krishna Bhakto Meera’ concluded its journey.
Besides ‘Alor Thikana’, new shows ‘Madhabilata’, ‘Canning Er Minu’ and others are set to launch soon.
