‘Jagaddhatri’ is one of the most talked about mega serials on Bengali television. The popular Bengali daily is currently essaying a high-voltage drama where the female protagonist of the show Jagaddhatri is investigating a double murder. As Jagaddhatri moves forward in the investigation, conspiracies against her start to become denser by the day. On one hand, Jagaddhatri is neck-deep in one of the most crucial cases of her life. On the other hand, the Mukherjee family is gearing up for the big fat wedding of Garima. But an unknown threat lurks around that auspicious occasion. On the very day of Garima’s wedding, a new antagonist appears with a gun in her hand. She aims her gun at Jagaddhatri. Garima jumps in to save Jagaddhatri and the bullet hits her instead of Jagaddhatri. Jagaddhatri runs to catch the culprit but in vain. Even before she starts chasing her, Jagaddhatri loses her senses and Swayambhu catches her from falling on the floor. Jagaddhatri escapes the bullet by sheer luck. Meanwhile, Garima is admitted to the hospital and fighting for her life. But the antagonist, Banolata, reaches the hospital and attempts to kill her by injecting poison into her medicine. Will she succeed?

Meanwhile, actress Rupsa Chatterjee is the new addition to the cast of ‘Jagaddhatri’ as an antagonist. The ‘Tunte’ actress is essaying the grey-shaded character named Banolata. In one of the promos of Jagaddhatri, she was seen wearing a traditional Bengali saree and she painted her head red with vermillion. With a gun in her hand and vengeance on her mind, she comes out and aims to shoot Jagaddhatri but Garima takes the bullet. It is evident from the promo that Rupsa’s character in the show is going to be quite a villainous one.

‘Jagaddhatri’ started its journey in 2022. Since then, ‘Jagaddhatri’ has been ruling the TRP charts. With its gripping storyline and a crackling chemistry between the protagonists, the Bengali show has won the hearts of the viewers. Ankita Mallick and Soumyadeep Mukherjee, who essay the roles of Jagaddhatri and Swayambhu on the TV show, have earned love and admiration from the audience in abundance. Not just on-screen, the duo has won hearts with their friendly banter offline as well.
