Ishti Kutum fame Ankitaa back on TV after five years

Ankitaa Chakraborty is back on the small screen after five years. The actress will play the protagonist in the mega serial Indrani. “I play Indrani, the titular character in this serial. She is a strong woman who goes through a roller coaster ride. Her mantra in life is to learn from every single experience and to her, judgment from other’s doesn’t matter. She is a single mother and develops a relationship with a young doctor.But there are other layers in this story too. The reason I accepted this character is because, Indrani has a lot of integrity which I loved and respect,” said Ankitaa. She added, “Recently, I opted for numerology and I’ve started adding an extra ‘a’ to my name. I get upset when people miss writing that extra a.”
Ankitaa just completed shooting for a web series directed by Anjan Dutt. “A lot of films like Birpurush, Subho Naboborsho and Akash Angsoto Meghla are complete and ready to hit the theatres. Talks are on with a few directors for their upcoming films,” said the actress, who is planning to go on a bike ride to Shantiniketan on Sunday with her husband Prantik Banerjee.
