Idhika Paul all excited about her new project ‘Priyotoma’

Rimli’ fame Idhika Paul has a new feather to her cap. The actress is ready for her first venture in Dhallywood. She bagged her first project in Bangladesh starring popular actor Shakib Khan. Titled ‘Priyotoma’, the movie is directed by Himel Ashraf. It will premiere shortly and Idhika is on cloud nine.
One of its songs has just been released and it garnered fans’ attention within no time.The song managed to get a good number of views in a short span of time, leaving the actress all elated.
Meanwhile, ‘Priyotoma’ has been in the news even before the project could hit the shooting floor. Besides Shakib Khan, who often mires into controversies, being the hero, the project made headlines because of its other star cast. Sources suggest, Shabnam Bubly was scheduled to play Shakib’s lady in the movie but later, Idhika was roped in for the role.
Speaking about Idhika, the actress played supporting roles in TV shows like ‘Beder Meye Jyotsna’, ‘Arabya Rajani’ and others, prior to bagging the Raj Chakraborty-produced TV project ‘Kopalkundala’. She played the parallel lead in the show which starred Sounak Roy and Soume Chatterjee as the lead pair. Idhika’s performance managed to woo the audience. Soon, she bagged her first TV show as the leading lady in ‘Rimli’. It had John Bhattacharya paired opposite her. Though it had a short stint on Bengali small screen and went off air sooner than expected, John-Idhika’s reel chemistry became the USP of the show. Idhika was last seen in Gourab Roy Chowdhury-Mohana Maity starrer ‘Pilu’.
