. “I play a negative character in Alo Chhaya. Her name is Tanushree. I love playing negative roles as they have a lot of shade. I think in my career, most of the special roles have been negative ones,” said Sayantani. The story of the serial revolves around two girls, Alo and Chhaya. Alo and Chhaya, who are raised together, share a strong bond of friendship. However, Alo is often neglected by her family which creates problems between the two girls. Sayantani has also shot for a film with Rituparna Sengupta, which is slated to release in the coming months. In the film titled, A Beautiful Life, Sayantani essays the role of Tota Roy Chowdhury’s wife. The actress will be seen as a paralysis patient.
