"I am excited about playing a king in Khirer Putul," says actor Suman Dey

Abanindranath Tagore's ‘Khirer Putul’ has a nostalgia that instantly takes us back to our childhood. The fantasy, pictorial narration and a beautiful story- ‘Khirer Putul’ has it all.
Well, a new television show is set to launch on Monday based on the story that made our childhood memories even more precious.
Actor Suman Dey is playing a king in the upcoming show, while Sudipta Roy and Sreetama Roychowdhury will be playing Suorani and Duorani.The entire team is excited about the launch. They had been working hard ever since shooting started during the unlock phase. Suman, can’t wait for his new show to launch.
Speaking about his experience he added, “We have started shooting and it is a good experience. I am sporting a new look. I am wearing a wig, heavy costume and ornaments. The costume is heavy and I have to carry a sword often. At times, it is hard to carry everything especially in this temperature but I don’t mind doing anything since I am here to entertain the audience. I am sure they will like it.”
The actor has been working hard to prepare for the new project. “I am excited to play a king. I haven’t played a king before. I have been preparing a lot. I have watched many period films both in Hindi and English. I am quite conscious about my mannerism and dialogues too,” he said.
The show is being directed by Amit Das while the music is scored by Saumik Guha Roy. The show will feature special effects and the VFX is done by Swarno.
