A self-proclaimed fitness freak, actor
Uday Pratap Singh is doing his best to stay
fit
while he is cooped up at home due to the
lockdown
.
Uday, who is seen playing a pivotal role in the daily soap
Mithai
, is into physical activities like horse riding, skating, riding a bicycle and others. Sharing with us his workout regime to stay fit at home, he said, “I would suggest one should do more of cardio like skipping, spot jumps, pull ups and push ups to stay in
shape
while at home as we can’t head to the gyms now. I love to go for my cycling rides. I ride for several kilometres every day early in the morning. Also, in this pandemic, breathing exercises are a must to increase the capacity of our lungs. I practice Anulom Vilom Pranayama every day.”
But only working out alone doesn’t always help us retain our desired body shape. Maintaining a balanced diet too is the key. So what does Uday eat now that he is not going out to shoot? “I always prefer home-cooked food over outside food, whether I am shooting or at home. Luckily, my domestic help prepares all the dishes the way I like it. I make sure it’s less spicy and healthy. I also have a high protein and less carbs diet. In summers, I drink a lot of fluids to stay hydrated. To stay fit, eating in moderation is the key. Even if you wish to indulge in a cheat meal once a week, maintaining portion size is a must,” added Uday.
