‘Gantchhora’, the newly launched TV show, has outshined daily soap ‘Mithai’ yet again. Second time in a row, ‘Gantchhora’ has topped the TRP charts leaving ‘Mithai’ behind. The Soumitrisha Kundoo-Adrit Roy starrer had ruled the TRP charts for a considerable period of time before being replaced by the newly launched show. This week, 'Mithai' is in the third spot.
Gantchhora’s story is revolving around protagonist Khori’s initial days at her sasural where she doesn’t get a warm welcome. Moreover, Riddhiman, whom she had to marry due to unavoidable circumstances, can’t stand her either. Khori’s ordeal to save the pride of her parents seems to have managed to strike a bond with the Bengali audience as the show is currently in the number one position.
‘Mon Phagun’, starring Sean Banerjee and
Srijla Guha in the lead roles, has bagged the second spot on the TRP charts. Last week, too, it scored well; thanks to protagonists Rishiraj-Pihu’s crackling chemistry.
In ‘Mithai’, the Modak family is on a mission to bring the protagonist and her ‘Uchchebabu’ closer at any cost. Recently, the show aired a track revolving around Mithai’s spoken English class which had some light-hearted moments.
The fourth spot has two shows. ‘Alta Phoring’ and ‘Aaye Tobe Sohochori’ have jointly bagged the spot. While protagonist Phoring’s struggling life managed to make a connection with the telly audience soon after its launch, ‘Aaye Tobe Sohochori’ is making its presence felt on the TRP charts these days.
‘Dhulokona’, on the other hand, is in the fifth spot. Newly launched ‘Anuraager Chowwa’ also earned good numbers in terms of TRPs in its opening week.
