Satyajit Ray portrayed Goopy-Bagha’s story on the giant screen with his master stroke. Ray’s cult classic movies ‘Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne’ and its sequel ‘Hirak Rajar Deshe’ are equally relevant even today in terms of socio-political aspects. Later,
Sandip Ray directed the third instalment of the series. Keeping the love for Goopy-Bagha in mind, ‘Goopy Bagha Phirey Elo’ will be aired this weekend on a leading channel. The film stars Tapen Chatterjee, Rabi Ghosh, Ajit Bandyopadhyay, Kamu Mukherjee, Haradhan Bandopadhyay, Pramod Ganguly and many other eminent artists.

Abhijit Guha and Sudheshna Roy directed movie ‘Jodi Love Dile Na Prane’ featuring popular actress Abir Chatterjee,
Ananya Chatterjee will be aired on Friday. ‘Bonkubabu’ starring
Saswata Chatterjee in the titular role will be aired too.
Two other leading Bengali television channels are gearing up with their special offerings this weekend. Recently launched reality show ‘Dance Dance Junior’ featuring
Mithun Chakraborty, Dev and Monami Ghosh will air back-to-back entertaining episodes on Saturday and Sunday. The show started its journey last week and the second season of ‘Dance Dance Junior’ has some really talented young dancers.
On the other hand, yet another rival channel is going to entertain the audience with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’s latest episode. The contestants will face a new challenge this weekend.
