Geetashree Roy bags a meaty role in an upcoming TV show

Upcoming show ‘Mon Phagun’ has been creating quite a buzz ever since its first promo went on air. The show, which will be a romantic-drama, has an ensemble cast. While Sean Banerjee and Srijla Guha are playing the lead jodi, a very popular actress will also be seen in this TV-drama too.
Latest reports reveal that actress Geetashree Roy is set to feature in a prominent role in the show.
Geetashree, whose very first show ‘Raashi’ was a huge hit, will be seen on television after a long time. The pretty actress was last seen in the supernatural drama ‘Nishir Daak’. She played Nishi’s character, after Sairity Banerjee, who was originally playing the role, quit the show due to pregnancy. ‘Nishir Daak’ was plugged off by the channel last year during the lockdown.
Since then Geetashree was giving the small screen a miss and was busy with her other projects. Geetashree has been a part of popular TV shows including ‘Debipaksha’, ‘Jamai Raja’ and others. She has films to her credit, too.
Meanwhile, ‘Mon Phagun’ is set to hit the small screens on July 26. Sean, who made his television debut with ‘Ami Sirajer Begum’, will play the role of a business tycoon in this soon-to-be-launched ambitious project. Television actor Rohaan Bhattacharya’s girlfriend Srijla, will make her small screen debut with ‘Mon Phagun’. The romantic-drama will also feature Saswati Guha Thakurta, Sujan Mukherjee and other popular actors.
