Saraswati, the goddess of culture and wisdom is worshiped with great devotion in Bengal. Tollywood is no exception. Artists from different disciplines deck up and celebrate the occasion with family, friends and bhog!
Ditipriya Roy
Ditipriya Roy is one of the most well-known faces of Bengali industry. She started her acting journey as a child artist on Bengali serials and has since worked in serials like Durga, Tomay Amay Mile. But her most recognised stint in television came with Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni. As Ranima, she stole the show. She has also acted in Srijit Mukherji’s Rajkahini, Subhrajit Mitra’s Avijatrik and has made her Bollywood debut with the film Bob Biswas. Like previous years, Ditipriya celebrated Saraswati Puja at her home. Wearing a white and golden Kerala Cotton with a maroon blouse and a few streaks of Teal coloured hair – she looked radiant.
Sandipta Sen
When it comes to Tollywood actresses, Sandipta Sen does not need an introduction. From Durga Roychowdhury to Raka Sen- she has aced her onscreen characters. She got married to Soumya Mukherji in last December. Post marriage, this is her first Saraswati Puja with her husband. Decked in mint green attires Sandipta and Soumya celebrated both the occasion – Saraswati Puja and Valentine’s Day.
Darshana Banik
Darshana Banik, one of Tollywood’s very well-known faces, started a new chapter of her life with Tollywood actor Saurav Das. After brief romance, they tied the knot in last December. But as a part of their professional hazard, Darshana and Saurav are not spending their first Saraswati Puja together as a married couple. Darshana is shooting out of the city at this moment. But that hasn’t stopped Darshana from decking up in a yellow saree and offering her prayer at a temple nearby the shooting location. Although the couple is not together on their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, they did not miss out on sharing their love virtually.
Ushasi Chakraborty
Actress Ushasi Chakraborty, who’s villainous June Aunty gave the protagonists a run for their money, had a twist in this year’s Saraswati Puja celebration. As this year’s Vasant Panchami has coincided with Valentine’s Day, she served a dual character to mark the occasion. While the Puja avatar is decked up in red saree and roses, her other self got done up in a western outfit. In 6 hours, Ushasi’s reel on Instagram has garnered close to 10K views.
