Gear up for some high-voltage entertainment this weekend. From award ceremony, hit films, to reality shows, Bengali television has a variety of shows to offer this weekend.
This weekend, a leading television channel will air Filmfare awards. The star-studded ceremony, held on March 31, was attended by
Kaushik Ganguly, Srijit Mukherjee,
Arindam Sil, Ash King,
Benny Dayal, Bikram Ghosh,
Anindya Chatterjee, Sourav Das, Tota Roy Chowdhury,
Riddhi Sen, Gaurav Chakraborty, Arjun Chakrabarty and many others. On the other hand,
Koel Mallick, Jaya Ahsan, Sudeshna Roy, Subhashree Ganguly, Aparajita Auddy, Iman Chakraborty, Lagnajita, Nikita Gandhi, Aditi Munsi, Ritwika Pal, Sauresheni Maita, Madhumita Sarcar, Ishaa Saha, Puja Banerjee, Monami Ghosh, Ena Saha, Ridhima Ghosh, Sreeja Sen, Sandipta Sen, and others made the heads turn as they walked the red carpet.
Tollywood superstar Prosenjit received the Filmfare award for Best Actor for ‘Gumnaami’. To celebrate the occasion, the channel will air his films ‘Shivaji’ and ‘Ghar Jamai’. Besides Bumba da,
Anup Sengupta directed ‘Ghar Jamai’ stars Abhishek Chatterjee and Namrata Thapa while ‘Shivaji’ features actress Swastika Mukherjee opposite Prosenjit.
Two other leading Bengali channels are ready with their offerings as well. Reality show ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’, starring
Mithun Chakraborty as Mahaguru and Dev-Monami Ghosh as the judges, is set to air a gala episode. All the young participants will be seen performing their best to woo the judges.
Non-fiction show ‘Didi No. 1’, hosted by Rachna Banerjee is set to welcome some special guests in its weekend episode, too.
