It was the late actress Pallavi Dey’s birth anniversary yesterday (February 24). Her friends, industry peers, and fans remembered the actress with moist eyes. Many artists, who have worked with the late actress and shared a good rapport with her, took to their social media handle to write heart-touching birthday notes. Friends Ayendri Roy, Sayak Chakraborty, Ananda S Choudhuri, who were very close to her, went to the actress’ home at Howrah where they celebrated Pallavi’s birthday.
It was an emotional moment for Pallavi’s family and her friends who promised to celebrate Pallavi’s birthday together every year.
They all took a walk down the memory lane and remembered all the beautiful memories with the actress.
Pallavi, who made her television debut with ‘Resham Jhanpi’, was a popular face on the Bengali small screen. She has been a part of many shows in her brief career. Pallavi was allegedly found dead in her Garfa residence in May, 2022. The actress was working for her on-going television show ‘Mon Mane Na’, starring Samm Bhattacharya, as the male lead. According to police sources, post mortem reports suggest, the actress allegedly died by suicide but Pallavi’s family filed a complaint against her live-in partner Sagnik Chakraborty. Police arrested him later.
Pallavi is best known for playing Lutfunnisa Begum in Sean Banerjee starrer ‘Ami Sirajer Begum’, one of the big-budgeted Bengali TV shows in recent days. Besides this, she was part of TV shows ‘Kunjochhaya’ and ‘Saraswatir Prem’.
