Eminent artist Ranjit Mallick’s debut web series set to premiere on August 11

Noted artist Ranjit Mallick starrer ‘Ghosh Babur Retirement Plan’ is ready to entertain the audience soon. Excitement regarding this project has been quite high from the moment, the project was announced. Right from its star cast, the team behind the camera and the subject it deals with, made this series among the much-awaited ones, on Bengali OTT platforms.
The senior artist of this entertainment industry, who began his acting career with Mrinal Sen’s ‘Interview’, will mark his web debut with this series.That’s not all, ‘Ghosh Babur Retirement Plan’ will also be director Haranath Chakraborty’s first OTT project. The senior director, is behind the hit Bengali movies like ‘Nabab’, ‘Sangharsha’, ‘Nater Guru’, ‘Shashurbari Zindabad’, ‘Nabab Nandini’ and many others, has chosen an interesting subject line for his first web series. It will follow the life of a man after his retirement and narrate. The story will revolve around male protagonist Ghosh Babu, whose life, and relationships undergo a sea change after his retirement. How he deals with the sudden changes and whether or not, his perspective toward life changes while going through this phase, will be shown in this series.
The star cast is quite impressive. While ace artist Ranjit Mallick is playing the titular role in ‘Ghosh Babur Retirement Plan’, senior artist Anuradha Roy will play a prominent role in it too. Besides them, Adrija Addy Roy and Aryann Bhowmik are teaming up as a reel pair too.
The series will start streaming from August 11, on a leading Bengali OTT platform.
