Ekhane Akash Neel fame Anamika Chakraborty bags a movie

Actress Anamika Chakraborty, who paved her way into Bengali household by playing Hiya’s role in the romantic-drama ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’, has bagged a movie. The bubbly actress will soon be seen romancing actor Bony Sengupta in an upcoming flick. The shooting for the movie will start soon.
Anamika made her big-screen debut earlier this year and has been missing from the small screen.
Meanwhile, Anamika’s co-star from ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’, actor Sean Banerjee will play the lead in yet another TV show. Soon after ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’, Sean did a movie opposite actress Rituparna Sengupta.
Sean’s upcoming romantic drama ‘Mon Phagun’ will feature model-turned-actress Srijla Guha opposite Sean. The fans of ‘Hiyan’ have been expecting Anamika to make a comeback on the small screen too. But the actress seems to have decided to give the small screen a miss for few more days.
Anamika and Sean were hugely popular as lead jodi. They played Dr. Hiya and Dr. Ujaan in the show ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’. Though the show couldn’t cast its spell on the TRP charts, the lead pair enjoyed a huge fan following. Several social media pages were dedicated to ‘Hiyan’. In fact, when the makers decided to pull off ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’, fans demanded the show to continue and trended #hiyan.
