Eken Babu's author Sujan Dasgupta suffered heart attack, post-mortem report suggests

Eminent author Sujan Dasgupta's shocking death under mysterious circumstances left everyone deeply saddened. He was found dead at his residence yesterday (January 18). His primary post-mortem report indicates the death is likely to be caused by a heart attack. Police launched a probe after the octogenarian was found lying lifeless on the floor of his bedroom in the South Kolkata flat.The initial police investigation suggests Sujan might have fallen while going to the washroom and suffered a heart attack. According to the police sources, the primary investigation and post-mortem report don't indicate any foul play.
Eken Babu's author Sujan mostly lived in USA. He came to Kolkata for the premiere of a movie which is adapted from his mystery thriller. He decided to stay in the city for some other work commitments. Sujan was alone when the incident took place. His wife went to Shantiniketan on Tuesday.
The shocking demise of the eminent author, who is known for his style of writing, left his numerous admirers deeply saddened. Actor Anirban Chakraborti, was taken aback by the news. Anirban played Eken Babu’s character in the web series as well as in the movie based on Sujan’s story. The movie, that was prompted by the success of the OTT series, enjoyed a good response from the audience.
