He is essaying Mathuramohan’s son Dwarika’s character in the show. “I am thoroughly enjoying the character I am playing in Rani Rashmoni. Dwarika is an honest and courageous man and can’t stand any wrong. His character has beautiful shades. Dwarika is a dutiful son and responsible individual. It is a really interesting character to play,” Suman says.

Prior to this, Suman was seen playing king in fantasy drama ‘Khirer Putul’ and a doctor in Manali Manisha Dey starrer ‘Nakshi Kantha’. And in ‘

’, he is seen in a completely different avatar. The actor prepared himself to look convincing on-screen. Dwarika’s look, costumes have been particularly conceptualised keeping the era in mind.

“Dwarika is different from the other characters I have played in my career. I wanted him to look convincing as Dwarika and have been prepping up for the role. The dialogues are written keeping the then era in mind and it isn’t easy. When the script comes, I keep rehearsing not only to memorise the lines but to live the character,” says Suman.

The actor has become close with his co-stars and enjoys fun-time in the make-up room too. “ It is a wonderful team to work with. They help me in every possible way and keep encouraging,” adds Suman.
