Actors John Bhattacharya and Idhika Paul are playing the lead roles in the show. With its relatable storyline and chemistry between the lead actors, ‘Rimli’ managed to catch the attention of the audience in its initial stage. But industry sources suggest that the makers are not happy with the TRPs and the show is likely to conclude its journey.

The storyline revolves around a village belle who belongs to a farmer family. Idhika, who featured in a number of daily soaps including fantasy-drama ‘Beder Meye Jyotsna’ and Raj Chakraborty produced period-drama ‘Kopalkundala’, prior to this is playing the titular role. This is her first show as a solo lead. John, on the other hand, was seen in a number of popular shows including ‘Bojhena Se Bojhena’ (starring Yash Dasgupta and Madhumita Sarcar), Bengali adaptation of supernatural fiction ‘Nazar’ and fantasy-drama ‘Naagleela’. John is awaiting a movie release, too.
