Daily soap ‘Kanak Kakon’ completes 100 episodes

The Bengali television serial ‘Kanak Kakon’, starring

Sweta Bhattacharjee

and

Shrabani Bhunia

in the lead roles, completed 100 episodes yesterday (August 8).

The story revolves around two sisters, Kanak and Kakon, and the unconditional love they share. Veteran actor Dipankar De plays the character Samyamay Ganguly, who is a man of principles.

The storyline initially started with the tale of two sisters. Being the elder sister, Konok faces all the hardship to make her little sister Kanak’s life easier. Konok is a talented dancer while Kanak wants to be a sprinter, following his father’s last wish.

Konok leaves no stones unturned to help Konok fulfill her dream. Kanak, on the other hand, is very protective about her elder sister, and respects her a lot. As Konok gets married, her life takes a new turn and the story takes the audience for a new ride.

The entire cast and crew recently had an outdoor shoot in

Mandarmani

. The team had a blast during the trip. They celebrated their achievement of crossing 100 episodes, too.

Sweta is a popular face of Bengali television and has done a number of popular shows including ‘

Jorowar Jhumko

’, ‘Bhalobasa.com’ and ‘Tumi Robe Neerobe’.

She was also seen in the Hindi show ‘

Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki

’, which had Vishal Vashishtha. Shrabani, on the other hand, made her debut with ‘Rakhi Bandhan’.
