Actress Sampurna Lahiri is an animal lover in real life. Besides reading books and watching films, Sampurna is spending fun-time playing with her pet dog. She is also flaunting her culinary skills in the kitchen. But something else is also keeping her busy. Thinking about the street dogs, cats and other animals in her locality, the actress is making sure that they aren’t starving due to the ongoing lockdown.

Sampurna, who is staying home during the lockdown, makes it a point to feed the street animals near her home. The pretty actress has also urged other fans to feed the surplus food to the animals, who might be starving.

Just like Sampurna, a number of actors like Debopriyo Mukherjee, Vikram Chatterjee, Debolina Dutta and others have been vocal about animal rights. They have appealed to the citizens to feed the street animals in their locality during the crisis.

Coming back to Sampurna, she was seen playing a daayan in the Bengali supernatural drama ‘Nojor’, which is the remake of

Antara Biswas

aka Monalisa starrer show ‘Nazar’. Sampurna, who is mostly seen in films, made a comeback on Bengali television after quite some time with this show.
