Bokul aka Ushasi Ray bags a silver screen project

Actress Ushasi Ray, who made her television debut with popular daily soap ‘Milan Tithi’, is all set for a new inning. After making her debut in digital platform, Ushasi will be seen on silver screen. The actress was supposed to make her debut in yet another project which seems to have got delayed due to some reason. But Ushasi has a new movie which will also star Ritwick Chakraborty.Directed by Rajdeep Ghosh, the upcoming flick ‘Ayurekha’ is a thriller. The ensemble cast also includes director-artist Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, actor Bony Sengupta and others.
Ushasi, who once played tomboyish Bokul’s character in television serial ‘Bokul Kotha’, will be seen in a different avatar in the movie. She will play the role of an investigating officer who is trying to crack a murder case. Ushasi is all excited about her new project.
The actress was last seen in TV show ‘Kadambini’, based on the life of Dr. Kadambini Ganguly. The television adaptation witnessed a brief run and went off-air much sooner than expected. Since then, she has been keeping herself busy with other projects and giving Bengali TV a miss. Other than making special appearances on award ceremonies and non-fiction shows, Ushasi wasn’t seen on Bengali TV. She did a few OTT projects in the meantime. She left the audience awestruck with her transformation. From her girl next door image to a diva, Ushasi’s transformation has been the talk of the town for quite long.
