Popular Bengali actress Nabanita Das celebrates her birthday today (August 3). Celebration started at midnight for the birthday girl who was in for a surprise. Hubby Jeetu Kamal made special arrangements for her. From customised cake, gifts to surprises, the ‘Aparajito’ actor made sure that Nabanita’s special day started on a high note. Jeetu made all sorts of efforts to bring a smile to her face.

On the work front, Nabanita needs no introduction. She reached the households of Bengali audience with the instant success of TV show ‘Deep Jwele Jai’. It was her debut show which turned out to be a huge success. Actor Indrajit Chakraborty was paired opposite her in the show. She played the role of a talented badminton player in ‘Deep Jwele Jai’. Nabanita’s innocence, convincing performance and her crackling chemistry with Indrajit worked in favour of the daily soap, making it hugely popular among the audience. It recently witnessed a Hindi remake starring Krushal Ahuja and Anchal Goswami in the lead roles.
After Deep Jwele Jai’s success, Nabanita bagged ‘Ardhangini’, which initially starred Rahul Arunoday Banerjee as the male lead. Later, Jeetu Kamal stepped into his shoes.
