Bidipta Chakraborty is happy about her role in upcoming television serial ‘
Bidipta is also doing a negative character in another television serial ‘Subho Drishti’. This is the first time the actor is playing a negative role. She shared an incident when one of her fans requested not do such roles. She said, “My character Annapurna in Subho Drishti is a mean lady. One day I was returning from market and an old man asked me to stop the rickshaw. He came forward and held my hands saying ‘I have seen you on television. You are a nice person. Why do you choose such a negative role? It’s my humble request to you please don’t play such characters.’ I was really moved by his gesture.”
Talking about her personal life, Bidipta shared he is proud of hubby
The actor who is simultaneously doing both films and television serials said, “I started my career with theatre. Television made me popular. I love doing films but I will always return to my first home-- television.”

’. The actor who is currently shooting in Bolpur, said, “I am playing the role of heroine’s mother. But my character has a different identity too. She is a singer who finds her soul in Rabindra Sangeet and manages a music school. ”Leena Ganguly
is writing for this serial. Bidipta said, “I am grateful to Leena di for penning this character. She is a wonderful writer. Every character of her story has something to say. I am lucky that I got the opportunity to play such diversified roles in my television career.” The upcoming serial has Vikram Chatterjee and Oindrila Sen as leads.Bidipta is also doing a negative character in another television serial ‘Subho Drishti’.
