TV serial ‘Jiban Jyoti’ to go off-air soon

The Bengali television serial ‘Jiban Jyoti’ will reportedly go off air soon. According to the sources, the show will not be aired from middle of this month although, the channel is tight-lipped about it.
The show, which had popular actors Ravi Shaw and Aindrila Sharma as lead, was launched in March. According to the reports, the show was scoring quite low on TRP charts for quite some times.The actors had no idea about the drastic decision.
A close industry source said, “The decision was taken by the channel. The actors were informed a few days before. The show wasn’t scoring well on the TRP charts but no one expected it to go off-air so soon.”
The cast and crew went emotional as soon as the news struck on the shooting floor. Most of the shooting for the upcoming serial has already been done. The family-drama is based on a girl Jyoti (Aindrila), who is a martial art expert. She is honest and a brave heart.
Siddhartha (Ravi) comes back from abroad to his ancestral home. The story revolves around how Siddhartha stands by his parents and Jyoti takes care of him as his bodyguard.
