Bengali daily soap ‘Aparajita Apu’ crosses 300 episodes

The cast and crew of ‘Aparajita Apu’ are in a celebratory mood. The TV show, which has hooked the audience to the television screen with frequent tweaks in its storyline, has successfully completed 300 episodes. The team celebrated their new milestone with full enthusiasm.
‘Aparajita Apu’ stars Rohaan Bhattacharjee as the male lead while model-turned-actress Susmita Dey is playing the titular role.Interestingly, debutante Susmita became an overnight sensation after her show managed to strike a chord with the audience. It’s an instant hit and almost consistently performed well on the TRP charts.
The story revolves around Apu who is a courageous girl and wants to be self-dependent. She isn’t afraid of raising her voice against wrong. Deepu (played by Rohaan) is an honest guy who falls in love with Apu. He belongs to a joint family where the members abide by certain rules. Happy-go-lucky Apu gets married to Deepu following a twist. Deepu’s mom is the most strict person in the family. After facing initial hiccups, Apu, with her sweetness and responsible nature, wins the hearts of her in-laws including her ‘Shashuri maa’ (mother-in-law).
Rohan and Susmita’s on-screen chemistry has made the show quite interesting. The show has a strong cast that includes, Sanjib Sarkar, Soma Chakraborty, Surojit Banerjee, Nandini Chatterjee, Sumana Chakraborty and many others.
Susanta Das, who has produced the successful show ‘Krishnakoli', is bankrolling ‘Aparajita Apu’ as well.
