Bengali actress Idhika Paul bags a prominent role in TV show ‘Pilu’

Actress Idhika Paul, who earlier played the lead role in John Bhattacharya starrer ‘Rimli’, has a new project in her kitty. The actress will be seen in the upcoming TV show ‘Pilu’, playing a prominent role. The new television show has Gourab Roy Chowdhury and newbie Megha Daw in the lead roles.

Actress Idhika Paul, who earlier played the lead role in John Bhattacharya starrer ‘Rimli’, has a new project in her kitty. The actress will be seen in the upcoming TV show ‘Pilu’, playing a prominent role. The new television show has Gourab Roy Chowdhury and newbie Megha Daw in the lead roles.
The actress will be seen in a completely different avatar in the upcoming show, unlike her previous show where she played the role of a village belle.
In ‘Pilu’, she will essay the role of a modern girl, for whom music is everything. Gourab, on the other hand, will play the role of a renowned singer. Currently, she is busy prepping up for the new role. Gourab and Megha, on the other hand, have been attending workshops since last month.
Idhika has entertained the audience with her performance in Raj Chakraborty’s ‘Kopalkundala’ and fantasy-drama ‘Beder Meye Jyotsna’ before playing the lead role in ‘Rimli’. In her last project, Idhika’s on-screen chemistry with John managed to win the hearts of Bengali audience although the show went off-air sooner than expected.
Meanwhile, the makers are yet to announce the launch date of this upcoming television show. ‘Pilu’ will narrate the story of a renowned singer named Ahir and a village belle. Music will play a vital role in this show. Megha, who is paired opposite Gourab, will make her debut with this show. She is a dancer and currently a part of the ongoing season of ‘Dance Bangla Dance’.
