have been blessed with a baby boy. Payel gave birth to a beautiful boy on Wednesday (April 3) at a private nursing home in Kolkata. According to the family members, both Payel and her baby are doing well. Nonetheless to day, the celebrity couple is on cloud nine. Interestingly, they have named their boy 'Merak', inspired from Merak, a small village in Ladakh.

Both the actors are popular faces of Bengali entertainment industry. Dwaipayan, is presently seen playing a meaty role in family-drama ‘Joyee’.

Payel, who was playing the character Rubina, left the show ‘Jahaanara’ a few months back due to her pregnancy. The couple met during a shoot. They became good friends and eventually fell for each other. Payel and Dwaipayan got married in 2012.

Payel, who started her career with ‘Sahityer Sera Samay’, became a household name with the popular shows ‘Durga’ and ‘Behula’. Payel was well appreciated for her on-screen performance in ‘Bodhu Kon Alo Laglo Chokhe’.

Dwaipayan, on the other hand, has also done a number of television shows including ‘Sukh’, ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’, ‘Ogo Bodhu Sundori’ and ‘Ichche Nodee’.
