Balika Badhu actress Adrija Mukherjee injured in a car accident

Child artist Adrija Mukherjee, who played the titular role in Bengali television serial ‘Balika Badhu’, was injured in a car accident today (January 14). The actress, along with her family members was travelling to Burdwan when their car met with an accident near Natagargh, Hoogly.
According to local sources, the car flipped on the road leaving Adrija, her mom and others injured.They were rushed to the nearby hospital. Adrija, who had minor head and hand injuries, is provided with necessary medical treatment.
The other members of Adrija’s family are out of danger too. All the six members of the family have been brought to Kolkata after providing with the primary medical attention. Though the actress escaped with minor physical injuries, the incident has left her in trauma. Doctors advised her to take rest.
Mukherjee family was on their way to attend a function in Burdwan. Police sources suggest the car Adrija was travelling by, had some issues in the tyre. It was later changed at a local car repairing shop. Adrija’s family resumed their journey after the issue in the tyre was fixed.
The child artist, who is in school, caught the attention of the viewers by playing the lead in ‘Balika Badhu’. The show was directed by Manish Ghosh. It is an adaptation of ‘Balika Badhu' by eminent writer Bimal Kar. The show also starred Goutam Mukherjee, Samridhya Paul.
