‘Aparajita Apu’ fame Susmita Dey bags yet another show?

A number of news TV shows have been lined up to entertain the audience. Love story, family-drama, non-fiction show; a variety of entertainment platter is awaiting the audience this season. If sources are to be believed, one of these new shows will feature actress Susmita Dey, who made her debut with Rohaan Bhattacharjee starrer ‘Aparajita Apu’. She was recently seen in comedy drama ‘Bouma Ekghor’, produced by Susanta Das.Despite setting high hopes, the TV show, which had an ensemble star cast, went off-air much sooner than expected. After that, Susmita kept herself busy spending time with her loved ones and also did some stage shows during the festive season. Her fans, however, were keen on seeing her on the small screen again.
It seems Susmita is not going to disappoint her fans. She has a new offer from a leading channel and the makers are currently in talks with her regarding the project. If everything works out, she will be seen playing the female lead in the show.
Girl next door Susmita stepped into showbiz after winning the title of a beauty pageant. She worked as a model prior to making her debut in ‘Aparajita Apu’ which made her a household name almost overnight. Susmita and Rohaan’s reel chemistry and protagonist Apu’s bubbly persona worked in favour of the show. Thanks to its popularity, Susmita didn’t have to wait long for her next project. She bagged a new project that too from a rival TV channel. However, her second project starring Debojyoti Roy Chowdhury as the male lead, saw a brief run on TV.
Besides his project, Rubel Das-Pallavi Sharma starrer 'Nim Phuler Madhu', Neel Bhattacharjee's new show and Sudipta Chakraborty hosted cookery show are ready to launch three different channels.
