It’s celebration time for the cast and crew of Bengali TV’s one of the most popular shows ‘Jagaddhatri’. The Bengali daily soap, which recently had its Telugu remake (under the same title), has completed one year on small screen. It certainly calls for a big celebration and the team didn’t miss the chance to enjoy some cheerful moments amidst hectic shoot schedule.

Celebration time

A special cake was brought that features most of the characters in Jagaddhatri. The cast and crew happily enjoyed a cake-cutting ceremony. Energy was already flying quite high as ‘Jagaddhatri’ has been in the news for fetching many awards under different categories, at the Tele Academy Awards 2023, hosted by government of West Bengal.

Chief Minister not only praised Ankita Mallick aka Jass for her performance but also gave a hint that she regularly follows the show. Ankita, Soumyadeep Mukherjee, and the rest of the team members were on cloud nine after getting recognized. The cast members have been enjoying a celebratory mood since then and now, they have found another reason to be happy. Jagaddhatri has successfully completed the run of a year.

An instant hit

The show produced by Snehasish Chakraborty has been an instant hit. Though Bengali television viewers have seen a female protagonist cracking critical cases, handling criminals as well has solving petty issues at household. On the other hand, viewers have also seen 'adarsh bahuranis' occasionally holding guns and firing bullet. But Jagaddhatri brought it all together in a single platter. The show simultaneously runs a track featuring detective story and family drama parallely. And that seems to have worked in show’s favour. Ankita as Jagaddhatri aka officer Jass has become a household name. Her chemistry with Soumyadeep has worked in show’s favour too. Jagaddhatri has an ensemble star cast that includes senior actors Soma Dey, Moumita Gupta, Supriyo Dutta, Ashim Mukhopadhyay and many others.
