Aindrila to be seen in new Bengali serial

Actress Aindrila Sharma will soon be seen in a new Bengali serial that’s being aired on a popular Bengali channel after Puja this year. The actress, who played the central character in popular Bengali serial Jibon Jyoti, said her new project is titled Jion Kathi. Joy Mukherjee and Rimjhim Gupta are also part of the project.

Revealing the storyline, Aindrila said it’s about a teenager, who goes to a city after passing her higher secondary examination from her village school. In the city, she meets a boy and their story starts unfolding from then on. The girl belongs to a lower middle-class family, while the boy is from a very privileged background. “The promo will be shot in a few days and shooting will probably start from next month. The initial 15 days of shooting will take place in Shantiniketan. After that, it will be continued at Technician’s Studio in Kolkata,” she said.

After Jibon Jyoti, which ended in June last year, Aindrila kept herself busy with numerous projects. Besides doing short films, she was also seen in a couple of Bengali films. The actress had also worked with Raj Chakraborty in Shesh Theke Shuru, which featured Jeet, Koel Mullick and Ritabhari Chakraborty. Aindrila had played the Jeet’s sister in the film. “I’m happy to work in both the mediums and will continue to do so. Let’s see how the future unfolds,” she signed off.
