After Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, Shweta is back in Kokhon Kakon

Kokhon Kakon is a story of two sisters, Kanak (Srabani Bhunia) and Kakon (

). They stay as tenants in a house, which belongs to Sibram Babu (Aloke Chatterjee) and his wife Romola (Chaitali Chakroborty).

Kanak and Kakon's father, Lalit Banerjee, was a sprinter and his last wish was to see Kanak following his footsteps. Eventually, Kanak becomes a sprinter, and Kakon, a very good dancer. But there comes a time when they are asked to vacate the rented house, refusing which, they get threatened by hooligans.Their whole life becomes a struggle and the two have to battle it out. Kakon, who is a good dancer, starts giving tuition at dancing schools and at functions to make two ends meet. Kakon tries to encourage her.

Besides Bengali fictions, Shweta Bhattacharya, who plays Kakon, has also acted in a Hindi show,

. “I started with Sindoor Khela, Bhalobasa Dot Com,

Tumi Robe Nirobe

and other serials. Then I moved to Mumbai and did Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki. Thereafter, when I got the offer to play Kakon, I couldn’t say no beause both the story and my character seemed really interesting. The serial shows how Kakon fights for her family,” said Shweta.

Other major characters in the show include Chaitali Chakroborty, Dipankar De, Apurva and Suvonkar.
