Actress Sritama Bhattacharjee turns a year older

Popular actress Sritama Bhattacharjee turned a year older today (May 10). Birthday messages have been pouring in since midnight. Sritama’s friends, industry colleagues and fans have been wishing her. She received loads of gifts including a customised cake, chocolates, flowers and fan mails.
Sritama is one of the most popular actresses of Bengali television industry.TV show ‘Maa Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’ was her first show and it made her a household name almost overnight. The television show had a strong cast and was an instant hit. It is still considered a trend-setter.
Sritama played Jhilik’s character in ‘Maa Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’. Jhilik’s innocent smile won the viewers’ hearts within a short period of time. No wonder Sritama became the darling of the masses right after she started playing Jhilik’s role. The show, which was launched in 2009, ran more than four and a half year.
Soon after the success of ‘Maa Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’, Sritama was flooded with offers. She left the audience surprised by playing an antagonist in ‘Ichche Nodee’, which was again a hit show. Sritama played Adrija’s character in Vikram Chatterjee and Solanki Roy starrer ‘Ichche Nodee’ and impressed the audience yet again.
