Bengali television actress Sritama Bhattacharjee, who became a household name playing Jhilik in ‘Maa… Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’, has turned a year older yesterday (May 10). It was a simple celebration with a special birthday cake and yummy homemade food amid the lockdown. But the actress was happy to spend the most special day of her life with family.
Sritama was up for a double delight since it was Mother’s day, too. She celebrated the occasions together with her parents and tried to make her mommy dearest feel special.
Wishes from close friends and fans left Sritama overwhelmed. Her social media hands were flooded with birthday wishes from fans and industry colleagues. The actress went emotional by the sweet gesture.
The popular Bengali daily soap show ‘Maa… Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’ launched in 2009, gave her huge name and fame. It is still considered as one of the most successful Bengali TV shows. Sritama has done a number of serials after the success of the show. Her character Adrija in Solanki Roy and Vikram Chatterjee starrer serial ‘Ichche Nodee’, has left everyone awed. None thought, Sritama would play a vamp on-screen that too after the success of ‘Maa… Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’. The actress played the character quite convincingly and earned praises from the viewers.
She was also a part of the popular period-drama ‘Debi Choudhurani’, which starred Sonamoni, Rahul Mazumdar in the lead roles. Sritama was last seen in ‘Guriya Jekhane Guddu Sekhane’.
