Actress Sohini Guha Roy turns emotional recalling ‘Mayurpankhi’ days

Bengali television actress Sohini Guha Roy became a household name playing Tisham's character in ‘Mayurpankhi’. The television show narrating a passionate love story was launched in 2018.
Sohini seems to be nostalgic recalling her project which went off-air last year. She has shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the set. In this photo, Sohini can be seen busy reading her script.

The bubbly actress, who was seen playing a meaty role in ‘Resham Jhapi’, was praised by the audience for her performance in ‘Mayurpankhi’.Actor Soumya Mukherjee was paired opposite her in the show. The actors looked good together as an on-screen pair. Though the show didn’t live up to the expectation and went off-air before completing one year, it made Soumya and Sohini quite popular among the audience.
The first promo with a beautiful song in the background made some noise prior to its launch. Soumya, who was earlier seen in TV commercials and webseries, made his television debut with the show. The story started with two young and passionate individuals who meet each other and fall in love. But destiny drifts them apart only to help them meet again but in a critical situation. The show had a strong cast including Sabitri Chatterjee, late actor Santu Mukherjee, Rita Dutta Chakraborty, Kaushik Chakraborty, Tramila Bhattacharjee, Biswanath Basu, Abhishek Chatterjee, Chandan Sen, Laboni Sarkar and many more.
After ‘Mayurpankhi’, Sohini got busy with film and modelling assignments.
