Last year, around this time, Sampurnaa left ‘Rani Rashmoni’ after she bagged the lead role opposite

in ‘Durga Durgeshwari’. It was a tough decision for the actress to make since the show ‘Rani Rashmoni’ gave her a huge name and fame. But finally, she took the offer and left the popular period-drama midway. On the last day of the shoot, everyone got emotional while bidding goodbye.

Sampurnaa was paired opposite actor Gourab Chatterjee. Despite the age difference, they looked good as an on-screen pair. Later, actress Roshni Bhattacharyya started playing Jagadamba’s character. But viewers still recall Sampurnaa as Jagadamba.
