Bengali television serial ‘Ekka Dokka’ is ready to welcome a popular artist as a cast. Actress Roshni Tanwi Bhattacharyya of ‘Hriday Haran B.A. Pass’ fame will now be a part of the show.
Roshni’s part in the television serial ‘Tumii Je Amar Maa’ has just ended and the actress has already bagged another project. She played a negative character in the Suman Dey and Priya Mondal starrer. In ‘Ekka Dokka’, viewers will see her essaying Komolini’s role. The character has interesting shades. With Komolini’s entry the story is expected to feature a new tweak in the story.
Meanwhile, the makers aren’t shying away from adding back-to-back twists in Ekka Dokka’s storyline to spice up the entertainment quotient, aiming at the viewership. While Pratik Sen’s entry and his reel chemistry with Sona Moni Saha (who plays the female lead), gave a spike in the TRP, the makers want to sustain the viewership at any cost.
Leena Gangopadhyay and Saibal Banerjee-produced ‘Ekka Dokka’ initially started with Saptarshi Moulik and Sona Moni playing the lead roles. Though the pairing set hopes high, Saptarshi-Sona Moni’s chemistry couldn’t cast a spell on the TRP charts.
Speaking about Roshni, her first major show as a lead was comedy-drama ‘Hriday Haran B.A Pass’. After the success of Joey Deb Roy starrer, Roshni bagged the lead in Raj Chakraborty produced ‘Felna’. The show couldn’t live up to its expectation, post which, Roshni wasn’t seen in any TV shows. Much later, she joined the cast of ‘Mon Phagun’. The track featuring her as a village belle was short-lived too.
