The tradition of visiting temples to offer puja to Lord Shiva during the month of Shravan is a part of Indian tradition that’s been followed by millions of devotees. Every year, a huge number of devotees walk barefoot or travel from remotest corner via truck for pilgrimage during this particular time. They pay a visit to Mahadev temple to pour holy water of the Ganges.
Following the tradition, a large number of devotees turn up at Taraknath temple situated at Tarakeshwar, West Bengal. This year, a number of celebrities have already paid a visit to the temple and poured holy water. Actress
Puja Banerjee is also among those devotees who recently went to Tarakeshwar.
Accompanied by her son, the actress reached Tarakeshwar where she paid a visit to the temple, and offered prayers. The actress is in Kolkata to shoot for the ongoing season of reality series ‘
Dance Bangla Dance’. Puja, who is a devotee of Shiva, managed some time off and went to Tarakeshwar accompanied by her toddler.
The actress is quite pious by nature and often pays a visit to Kalighat, Belur Matth along with her family members while she is in the city.
Puja’s current schedule is quite hectic with the shooting of ‘Dance Bangla Dance Season 12’ and other work commitments.
