Actress Mishmee Das replaces Devlina Kumar in ‘Tunte’

Bengali actress Mishmee Das has bagged yet another television show. The model-turned-actress, who became a household name following the success of daily soap ‘Rajjotak’, has joined the cast of ‘Tunte’. The Syed Arefin and Dipanwita Rakshit starrer ‘Tunte’ has welcomed Mishmee as Priyanka. Interestingly, the character was earlier played by actress Devlina Kumar. But the latter is busy with her other work commitments, which is why, she had to quit the ongoing television drama.
Actress Devlina is a true busy bee who has been striking a balance among her work commitments.She works as a guest lecturer at Rabindra Bharati University. She is also an entrepreneur and dancer. Devlina is currently in UK for a dance program and has been busy past few months because of cultural shows in different countries. That's the reason, she opted out. Now, makers have roped in Mishmee to play the character Priyanka, Devlina has been essaying.
Tunte’s story revolves around a village belle who knows magic when it comes to weaving and dress designing and the male protagonist Rangan. The latter belongs to a rich and influential family that’s into the garment business. Incidentally, female protagonist Tunte and her family also work for his family. Tunte dreams of becoming a famous fashion designer one day. Her quest brings her to the city and she starts working at Rangan’s household. Following the cards played by destiny, Rangan and Tunte get married.
Priyanka, on the other hand, has a soft corner for Rangan and she tries her best to woo him. The current track is revolving around newly married Tunte-Rangan. Priyanka, who was out of the story for a while, makes an entry right at the time when the duo is set for a peaceful life. Her sudden arrival is going to spice up the drama quotient for sure.
Mishmee, as Priyanka, recently started shooting for the show. The actress is also a part of yet another popular television show ‘Khelna Bari’, which features Mishmee playing a double role. She plays Antara and Anamika, who were twin sisters. She is currently playing Anamika, an antagonist whose sole purpose is to create issues in Indra-Mitul’s (played by Aratrika Maity) life. Mishmee’s performance in the show has managed to catch audience’s attention. It will be interesting to see whether Tunte’s Priyanka also manages to cast a spell.
