Actress Jina Tarafder bags a new project

VJ, model and actress Jina Tarafder has landed a new project. She has joined the cast of television show ‘Bangla Medium’. The actress, who has been a part of a number of shows like ‘Shreyoshi’, ‘Bouma Ekghor’ and others, will essay a negative character in the show. She will play a girl named Elina, who is a student. Elina’s entry is going to spice up the drama quotient for sure, especially because she isn’t like how she appears to be.

According to the new track, Elina meets female protagonist Indira with the hope to get admission to the school. Principal Indira assures her all kinds of help and support. But her husband Bikram, who is a part of the school board, is against the decision. He asks Indira to not allow Elina to get admitted to the school. He has a hunch that Elina has some hidden agenda behind her sudden arrival and intention to study in the same school headed by Indira.

This new twist is going to add some major drama to the ongoing storyline. Elina, who turns out to be a weapon used against Indira and Bikram, will cause several sleepless nights for the duo.

Meanwhile, the Neel Bhattacharya and Tiyasha Lepcha starrer has been dishing out some major drama in its latest episodes. Right from Indira taking charge of the school to Suhana’s wedding; the makers aren’t shying away from adding more masala to the story. While some of these twists worked in favour of the show making it a part of the top 5 Bengali soap operas on TRP charts, a few failed to woo the charts. Now, to sustain the viewership, they are ready to introduce a new character and a tweak in the story.

Coming back to Jina, the model and actress is from Jalpaiguri. She stepped into showbiz quite young and has been a part of many meaty projects as a model. She was recently seen playing a negative role in ‘Pherari Mon’ recently.
