Actress Jasmine Roy joins the cast of ‘Gaatchora’

‘Gaatchora’ is one of the popular TV shows currently running on Bengali small screen. The Gourab Chatterjee-Solanki Roy starrer, which once dominated the numero uno spot on TRP charts, has been lagging in terms of TRPs these days. And makers are leaving no stone unturned to hook the audience by adding major twists. Aiming at the TRPs, the daily soap is featuring back-to-back twists backed with some high-octane drama.From Khori-Riddhiman’s attempt to find out the precious statue to an attack on the duo leaving the female protagonist dead, ‘Gaatchora’ has featured some gripping twists in its current track. Adding one more to the list, the show has taken a leap of one year too. Following this, actress Jasmine Roy has joined the cast of ‘Gaatchora’. She is playing Tani’s character in the show. According to the storyline, Tani is male protagonist Riddhiman’s old friend.
Jasmine was recently seen in TV show ‘Amar Sona Chander Kona’, starring Ravi Shaw as the male lead. She played the role of a dutiful housewife who helps her hubby to reunite with his mom after decades. In ‘Gaatchora’, however, Jasmine will be seen in a completely different avatar and her reel character has interesting shades. According to the track, Tani has soft corner for Riddhiman who is yet to come to terms with his loss. He isn’t ready to accept that Khori passed away a year ago. In the meanwhile, Tani will try her best to become Riddhiman’s support system. Well, that’s not all, there will be some more twists, with Khori making a comeback in a brand new avatar. Instead of a girl next door, Khori will return to Singha Roy household as an entrepreneur who wants to beat Riddhiman’s company.
It will be worth a wait to watch whether the new twist and Jasmine’s entry help the show fare well in terms of TRP.
Meanwhile, Jasmine is all excited about her new project. The actress, who is a popular face to the Bengali audience, has been a part of many popular soap operas prior to this including ‘Mayar Badhon’, ‘Meera’, ‘Arabya Rajani’, ‘Trinayani’ and others.
