Young actress Hiya Dey, who is best known for her performance in Bengali television’s one of the most popular soap opera ‘Potol Kumar Ganwala’, is on her road to recovery. She has been discharged from the hospital too.
Last week, she underwent critical surgery to remove a tumour. According to sources, there was a tumour at the back side of her ovary and a cyst that were surgically removed. The surgery was performed at a private hospital, off EM Bypass. She had to stay in the hospital for a few more days after the surgery.
Now, Hiya, who is a student of class VIII, is at home with her parents, who are taking outmost care of their young daughter. The doctors have advised her to take complete bed rest and not strain herself by doing constant work or heavy objects. Doctors have also advised her to not start shooting immediately and to resume work only after full recovery.
Hiya underwent an urgent surgery for the tumour and cyst that were initially undetected since the actress had no pain. She was taken to the doctor by her parents because of swollenness in her abdominal area. The doctor advised Hiya to undergo some tests. The medical reports indicated the complications and Hiya was suggested to undergo immediate surgery. She was quickly admitted to a reputed private hospital where the surgery was performed.
Hiya needs no introduction. She is very popular among the audience because of the massive success of her very first daily soap ‘Potol Kumar Ganwala’. Later, she bagged Alo’s character in ‘Alo Chhaya’, a popular daily soap. She was last seen in Raj Chakraborty produced TV show ‘Falna’, where she played the titular role after the show took a time leap. Hiya replaced ‘Prothoma Kadombini’ fame child artist Meghan Chakraborty as grown up Falna.
