Actress Ditipriya Roy has already become a household name with her show ‘Rani Rashmoni’. The bubbly girl, who is still a teenager, has stunned the audience with her acting skills. She is being highly praised for her portrayal of a larger than life character like Rani Rashmoni.
Rashmoni was one of the courageous ladies, who stood up against the British. She was the founder of the Dakshineswar Kali Temple and believed in women empowerment in true sense.
The successors of Rashmoni still live in Janbazar. Interestingly, most of the shoot of this popular period-drama is being shot in Janbazar Rajbari too.
Every year, Durga puja is organised at Janbazar Rajbari keeping the old tradition alive. During this Durga Puja, Ditipriya visited Janbazar Rajbari, the real life abode of Rashmoni in the past. The actress is quite attached to the house and the residents of Janbazar Rajbari.
