Actress Debchandrima Singha Roy tests positive for COVID

The cases of COVID positive patients are surging worldwide. With fresh cases in the country, government authorities and medical practitioners have been urging people to follow COVID regulations once again along with the mandatory use of masks. Meanwhile, several fresh cases have been recorder this week across states. Actress Debchandrima Singha Roy, who has been enjoying a travelling spree these days, has also tested positive for the virus.The actress wasn’t feeling well since past week and sought consultation of a doctor. Later, on Sunday, test results indicated that she has contracted COVID. The actress is in home isolation, following the advice of the doctor.
Wishes for her speedy recovery have been pouring in for the actress. Her friends from the entertainment industry, Sohini Guha Roy, Devlina Kumar and others expressed their concern. Fans too have been praying for Debchandrima’s speedy recovery.
On the career front, Debchandrima’s last show ‘Saheber Chithi’, starring Pratik Sen as the male lead, ended few months back. It had a short stint on Bengali small screen and went off air owing to low TRPs. After that, Debchandrima has been busy travelling. She has been enjoying a holiday mood and rejuvenating herself prior to making a new commitment. She celebrated her birthday outside the country as well.
If sources are to be believed, then the actress has a Hindi TV show in her kitty. According to industry sources, the upcoming Hindi show starring Rajveer Singh, who was seen in Rajjo, will feature Debchandrima as the female lead. The actress impressed the makers during the audition.
