Actress Chaiti Ghoshal tests positive for COVID-19

The spike in the fresh cases due to the second wave of COVID-19 has reportedly become a serious issue. Meanwhile, a number of actors in Bengali entertainment industry have been tested positive for the virus. Actors Jeet and Subhashree who are a part of the upcoming season of reality show ‘Dance Bangla Dance’ had tested positive yesterday. Now, actress Chaiti Ghoshal has also tested positive for the virus.The actress was shooting for the recently launched show ‘Hoyto Tomari Jonno’. On the other hand, a number of other cast and crew members from the same show also have mild fever and other symptoms, sources suggest. Those, who have worked with Chaiti, have already isolated themselves and got tested after the actress informed them about her health condition.
The safety measures taken on the shooting sets are under strict scrutiny after a number of artists and crew members from the same project tested positive for the virus. Industry sources suggest, a number of team members from different TV projects have mild fever or cough.
Actors Bharat Kaul, his wife Jayashree, actress Shruti Das had tested positive for the virus. They have recovered and joined the cast. On the other hand, Jayashree’s co-star Anushree Das had also tested positive after the former had tested positive. Both have recovered and resumed shooting.
Subhashree, on the other hand, is in complete isolation after testing positive for the virus. Her six-year-old son Yuvaan is staying away from her mom while hubby Raj is elsewhere for election campaign. Jeet, who will be sharing the judges’panel with Subhashree in Dance Bangla Dance is also in isolation. Mentors of ‘dance Bangla Dance ’ Om and Devlina still don’t have any symptoms, while host Vikram Chatterjee has got tested and awaiting the result.
