Actress Basabdatta Chatterjee to make a comeback post-maternity break

Bengali viewers are in for some special treat, thanks to the long list of upcoming shows. 'Tunte' (starring actors Syed Arefin-Dipanwita Rakshit), ‘Phulki’ ( featuring Abhishek Banerjee-Divyani Mondal), Biyer Phool (Raja Goswami-Nabanita Das starrer), 'Rupsagore Moner Manush’ ( featuring Rooqma Ray in titular role) and ‘Sandhya Tara’( featuring actors Annwesha Hazra-Amrita Debnath starrer two sisters), are set to launch soon on three different channels.
Meanwhile, there is also news that a female centric show is also going to hit the small screens. It has an ensemble cast that includes some very popular artists in key roles. Actresses Basabdatta Chatterjee and Manali Manisha Dey are teaming up for the upcoming show. ‘Dhulokona’ was Manali’s latest show while Basabdatta will make a comeback post-maternity break. She was blessed with a baby girl last year in July. Basabdatta took a small break and wasn’t seen in any shows.
On the small screen, she has been a part of many popular TV dramas like ‘Gaaner Oparey’, Ek Mutho Akash’, ‘Ami Sei Meye’, ‘Amar Naam Joyita’, ‘Ashar Alo’, ‘Boye E Gyalo’, ‘Mon Niye Kachakachi’, ‘Taranath Tantrik’, ‘Goyenda Ginni’ and ‘Prothoma Kadambini,’ and others. She also has movies to her credit. Basabdatta’s performance in TV show ‘’Netajiw, where she played Prabhabati Bose , was highly praised by the viewers too.
Manali, on the other hand, has been striking a fine balance among her work commitments across mediums. While she has hit soap operas like ‘Bou Kotha Kao’, ‘Nakshi Kantha’ and others to her credit. She also did movies like 'Achin Pakhi', 'Praktan', 'Adventures of Joj', 'Gotro' and others.
