Actress Amrita Chattopadhyay bags a new web series

Keeping the popularity of web series in mind, Bengali OTT platforms are ready with their next offerings. Besides ‘Shikarpur’, ‘Abani Sen’, ‘Roktokorobi’, ‘Daakghor’and ‘Swet Kali’, a number of other OTT projects with promising cast and interesting stories, are ready to entertain the audience. One such OTT project will feature actress Amrita Chattopadhyay playing the role of a young journalist.The actress has bagged a new web series by director Riingo Banerjee. It’s a crime thriller which follows a young journalist in Varanasi. She works for a news portal and is quite passionate about her work. Things take a different turn when a young YouTuber goes missing. The female protagonist, working as a reporter, follows the story and tries to find out what really happened with the guy.
Amrita, who has been a part of movies like ‘Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa’, ‘Kolkata Calling’, ‘Meher Ali’, ‘Tushagni’ and others, shot for the upcoming web series in Varanasi. Director Riingo decided to shoot the series in an interesting format which will certainly add a new edge to the crime thriller. The cast and crew shot in some beautiful locations of Varanasi and it is going to be a visual treat for the audience.
Amrita’s latest project, ‘A Holy Conspiracy’ starring Naseeruddin Shah, late Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Kaushik Sen, Anasua Majumder and others, was praised by the audience and critics. Now, the young actress will be seen in a brand new avatar in Riingo’s upcoming web series.
